Presentation of the Benches and the earning of the Silver Award from Ann

 

Sanding and Staining the Benches....what a mess!

Working hard to get all the nooks and crannies of the benches thoroughly sanded, so the stain would adhere well!

 

Finishing touches on the benches......

 First we had to get some help with engraving.

Peter Meyer offered his services to the troop to help with the dedication on the backs of the benches.

 In March and April of 2021 we started formalizing and finalizing our plans to built 2 benches for the ELGS district.  The thoughts were to make benches that were sturdy and staff for smaller bodies to sit on, besides the large rocks that are currently in front ofthe building.

Here we are learning how to use woodworking tools safely and effectively.

January 2021

 We decided to go tubing for some fun, since we have again begun working on our Silver Award plans.  We headed to Sunburst in West Bend/Kewaskum, WI.
